Spark Teaching Group collects the expertise of these phenomenal educators and other award-winning teachers and shares it with schools across the country via professional development workshops, seminars, and inspirational speeches to faculty.
Because all our Teacher Consultants are educators and have experienced professional development at varying levels of quality, we strive to provide engaging, meaningful, and useful learning experiences to the districts we serve.
Spark does not pitch products during its professional development workshops or seminars. We provide the training districts request, at the highest level of quality.
Who we are
About our founder
Spark Teaching Group was founded in 2019 by Dr. Anna East. After 20 years in the classroom, Anna identified two needs in the education landscape: districts which need access to excellent professional development across subjects and grade levels; and award-winning teachers looking to reach beyond their districts to provide leadership. Spark Teaching Group seeks to fulfill both needs.
Anna spent two decades teaching English and history on the Flathead Indian Reservation in Western Montana. In the 2019-2020 school year she stepped into a new role as grants manager for the district where she's taught since 2003.
Anna is the recipient of the 2011 Distinguished Educator Award from the Montana Association of Teachers of English Language Arts; 2012 Excellence in Culturally Responsive Teaching Award from Teaching Tolerance; 2014 Distinguished Educator Award from the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes; and the 2015 Horace Mann Award for Teaching Excellence. Anna is also the 2014 Montana Teacher of the Year.
